Django Django — Born Under Saturn

Scottish indie-psychedelia outfit (and recent WayHome Festival addition) Django Django follow up their 2012 Mercury Prize-nominated self-tiled debut with their sophomore album. Engagingly vibrant, vividly psychedelic, and completely unapologetic — Born Under Saturn defies the notion of a ‘sophomore slump’, and establishes the London-based band as stronger than ever before.

Pale Honey — Pale Honey

Swedish indie rock gals Pale Honey are releasing their self-titled debut album on May 5th through Instant Records, the duo’s first full length effort following their 3-song 2014 Fiction EP. Their minimalist sound is intimate and feminine with just the right amount of synth — but don’t be mistaken, they are a far cry from typical Swedish electro-pop. These girls are pure rock ’n’ roll with just enough sonic to keep things fresh and dynamic.

Mikal Cronin — MCIII

Singer-songwriter Mikal Cronin (member of garage rock outfit Ty Segall Band) is back with his third self-titled LP, which features more robust pop songs with lush string arrangements, stunning melodies, and deeply personal lyrical work. The album is divided into two distinct halves. Side A is a bold collection of undeniable pop songs, while he entire B-side of the album serves as a radiant short-form “coming-of-age” concept album.

Toronto post-punk trio METZ have been touring non-stop since releasing their self-titled debut album back in 2012, and it doesn’t look like they will be stopping anytime soon. The band is back with their second LP—appropriately titled METZ II—and a slew of summer tour dates that include a hometown show at Lee’s Palace.
