It’s been 3 years since Alicia Keys’ last studio album, but the R&B artist just released a new single. “28 Thousand Days” is a part of an upcoming Levi’s ad campaign, but the ‘Girl On Fire’ teased on her Twitter account that the track “is just the beginning”.
The track isn’t Keys’ first new track since her last album though. Last year she worked with Kendrick Lamar, Hans Zimmer and Pharrell Williams for “It’s On Again,” the lead single from the Amazing Spider-Man 2. Keys also released “We Are Here” back in September, claiming that she had nearly finished her sixth studio album, but official details have yet to be released.
Though “28 Thousand Days” is meant for an ad campaign, it may be the first look at a new Alicia Keys’ album (hopefully) due out this year or early 2016. In addition to the new material she has in the works, Keys has been keeping busy with a guest spot on HBO’s Empire, on top of caring for her two young children with rapper Swizz Beats.
