K-OS TEASES NEW ALBUM (AUGUST 28) WITH ELLA FITZGERALD INSPIRED HIP HOP TRACK “CRUCIFY”

It’s been about a year since Toronto-based rapper k-os dropped the single “WiLD4TheNight (EgoLand)” and revealed plans to deliver a new album in 2015. Well, now details of the long-awaited record have been released.

His sixth studio album ,’Can’t Fly Without Gravity,’ is due out on August 28 through Dine Alone Records. The upcoming release acts as the follow-up to 2012’s concept album ‘Black on Blonde’. k-os has already premiered 4 tracks from ‘Can’t Fly Without Gravity’, including the bouncy “Turn Me Loose”, punk-inspired “Steel Sharpens Steel”, latest single “Spaceship”, and the Ella Fitzgerald cut “Crucify”.

“Crucify” builds upon Fitzgerald’s “It’s De-Lovely”, combining the classic song with a catchy sample-heavy hook and the Toronto MC’s masterfully-crafted flow. It’s a laid-back track, but it is the perfect example of a developed artist who is still pumping out solid music. Take a listen to “Crucify” below.
