Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller announced he had just wrapped up his major label debut just over a week ago, but no one expected the music video of his first single to come so soon.

Miller dropped his “100 Grandkids” video at midnight on Thursday, closely following the announcement of his upcoming album, GO:OD AM, due out Sept. 18 through Warner Bros. Records. The album follows Miller’s 2014 mixtape, Faces, and acts as his third studio released since his 2011 debut.

Mac’s comeback, video and track, are just as quirky as one would expect from the 23-year-old rapper. The bouncy cut is split into two parts: the first half sees Miller explaining vows made to his mother (“Made a promise to my mama that I’d bless with some grandkids / She could spoil ‘em”), while the latter half of the video has Miller in a parking lot reflecting on the first $100,000 he earned.

Along with Mac’s new video, he also announced a 10-city album promo tour, which kicks off September 20th in his hometown of Pittsburgh and includes a Canadian stop in Montreal on the 26th.
