The Strokes finally dropped a new single titled – Oblivious, off of their upcoming “Future Present Past” Ep, set for release June 3. The Ep will also include two other tracks – Drag Queen and Threat Of Joy, along with a remix of Oblivious, courtesy of the group’s very own Fab Moretti.

The New York rockers could not have come back at a better time. The group’s lead single offers the beautiful mess and distortion that today’s clean and poppy industry so desperately needs. The Atari style guitar chords and Julian Casablancas’ signature tipsy telephone vocals work so well, luring you into the surprisingly big rock chorus and arpeggiated bridge. It’s definitely a success and a great teaser for the EP.
