“This is not the music festival you think it is. We are about what happens when different and interesting people come together. We are making this about music, food, art and film. And we’re making it a place for people who love one or all of those things to come together to make a kaleidoscope of sound, smell, color, and spectacle.” – Wayhome Music & Arts Festival

Last summer, the creators of Bonnaroo swung by Oro-Medonte, Ontario to show us all how to properly throw a three day long music festival. Wayhome Music & Arts Festival, which seemingly showed up out of nowhere, successfully blew seasoned veteran Canadian festivals, like Veld Music Festival, out of the water; its popularity rivalled that of the great Osheaga.

With 20,000 Wayhomies attending last year, the festival set the bar for the summer events and set it high. The question festival goers posed was: can they do it again?

Well if a line up that includes headliners, The Killers, LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, Major Lazer and Metric weren’t enough to bring in fans from every corner of the globe, their recent additions of Haim, A Tribe Called Red and Toronto’s very own BadBadNotGood definitely will.

Similar to last year, each stage will have no specifically designated genre and, in addition to musical performances, the festival will offer “late-night spectacles” and visual art installations. Last year the festival surprised guests with vivid art installations created by talented and notable artists, highlighting WayHome’s commitment to the visual arts.

Visual art plays an essential role in creating the festival’s aesthetic and atmosphere and on July 21st, Wayhome will be introducing “Artwalk”, showcasing the festival’s artists. Guests will have the chance to meet and listen to artists speak about what inspired them in the creation of their Wayhome installations, including Angus Watt, the talented artist behind the breathtaking array of flags that lined the festival grounds last year.

Make sure to download your Wayhome App to create your own personalized schedule! Tier one and tier two tickets are already sold out. Tier 3 tickets are $249.99 and can be purchased at http://wayhome.com/passes/.
