Last week Crystal Castles released “Concrete,” the first piece of music to emerge from the edgy electronic band since the loss of original lead singer Alice Glass. Their new album, purportedly entitled Amnesty (I), is indicated to be released later this summer on August 19th.
In the music video, new singer Edith Frances can be found trying to make her way through a dark, crowded dance floor in an O-Negative t-shirt. Keeping with Crystal Castles’ style of macabre electronica, the song elucidates a more eerie, ominous tone, and Frances’ transient voice acts as a more than suitable replacement for the former front-woman.
