Bryson Tiller‘s climb to the top has reached its highest point so far, as his debut album “Trapsoul” jumps from #33 to #10 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart. In the new year, Tiller’s also been streamed over 21 million times and he’s sold well over 35,000 albums (equivalent) and counting. The 22 year old Louisville, Kentucky native is truly unstoppable right now and it looks like he’s just warming up.
Even though Tiller has found success at such a young age, it definitely wasn’t a quick and easy task. He lost his mother when he was 4 and didn’t connect with his father until he was grown. The church, his grandmother and uncle helped Tiller fall in love with music and when he heard Omarion’s “O” album, his love turned to passion and he started writing. Of course, life happened and by the time 2013 rolled around, he was working 3 jobs to take care of his daughter, forcing him to step away from music for a while.
It took him until mid 2014 (and the financial aid of a friend) to buy some recording gear which he used to record “Don’t”; the song that got the attention of Drake, Busta Rhymes and some major labels, including his current label – RCA. (Listen to “Don’t” at the bottom of the page)
