Caro’s debut single “Cold Comfort” will be included in a 16-song compilation of the best music coming out of Leeds. The trio is in full swing after their first UK tour with British indie rock band Gengahr. Recently, Caro received the PRS Foundation Open Fund which will be put towards more music and more touring.
Adam, Bryn and Andrew, the members of Caro, write, record and produce their music as well as create their own album artwork.
The song “Cold Comfort” is a genre-mixing indie rock song, that uses the strengths of the band to the fullest. It shows off their musicianship with incredible guitar and drum solos, as well as their smooth, indie sounding voices and interesting harmonies. The song seems to swing back and forth between a soft melodic pop sound to more rock focused verses. This pendulum feel to the song adds to the modern vibe of their sound and gives them a unique take on a relatively vague genre of music.
