A CINEMATIC SOUND OF BATTLING SELF-DOUBT IS GRAPH WITH “QUEEN”

Graph is an artist and songwriter from Toronto. She describes herself as an “80s pop inspired hip hop girl.” The singer released her album “Lipstick Graphiti” in July 2016. The song “Queen” is a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for the People’s Voice Winner in the R&B/ Hip Hop Category.

“Queen” definitely shows more of Graph’s pop influence than her hip hop side. With a pretty consistent beat and a very smooth guitar line, there is a lot to listen to in this song. This track is about battling self doubt, it’s an anthem for women who have to remind themselves that they are Queens even when they don’t feel that way. A catchy song, with a head bobbing feel, it’s no wonder it was one of the stand outs of the 2016 album.
