The Dungannon-born singer/songwriter and cellist, Alana Henderson just released her new single, “Let This Remain.” The song is an icy and unforgiving anti-ballad, fusing an electronic undercurrent to her darkly organic indie-folk.
Alana Henderson’s self-released Wax and Wane EP (2014) drew solid comparisons to Joanna Newsome and Fiona Apple. From 2014-2015 she stepped up to join Hozier’s band on tour, providing cello and supporting vocals in over 300 shows including Glastonbury, Saturday Night Live, and Jools Holland.
I’m a huge fan of folk music and if you are like me, you will absolutely love this new track. This is Henderson’s first single after being off the road and tour. Her vocals are outstanding and the cello adds the perfect touch.
