Take some time to breathe. Time some time to peep the scene. MRGR brings us a conscious and poetic second single following “Sunday’s Best”, this time in collaboration with Chuuwee.

A contemplative message, in which Sacramento MC’s verbal science shines by its accuracy and the fundamental questions it raises in each and everyone of us. To empower such a deep inner consciousness, MRGR went to church and cooked a soulful instrumental, mixing the fervor of an osscilating Gospel organ to the grace of a near religious sampling.

MRGR seems to have a knack for finding budding MC’s who perfectly suit his modern yet nostalgic production. “Sunday’s Best” with Hugh Augustine, reminds me of Nipsey Hussle/Dom Kennedy. A smooth west coast, 80s type chune. Chuuwee on “Human Being” is more clear, concise and bold with more of a Vince Staples tone and delivery.

MRGR is dropping an EP at the end of this year in collaboration with even more US underground artists. I can’t wait to see who else he’s been A&Ring to find rappers to suit his excellent sounds. Oh and congrats on your country winning the world cup today MRGR!
