In the first appearance of singer Kvesche Bijons-Ebacher, under his alias Bésé, he performs Walk With Me – a subdued dialogue between pulsing thoughts. Dark currents of deep bass, water filled synths to cool the temper. A pressure easing off.
“To leave specific details aside, I wrote this during a time where I had to cope. In order to cope I had to create an inner dialogue for overcoming toxicity by means of time and communication, and an outer expression to search for empathy and understanding, not only for others but to heal myself as well. This dialogue extends beyond, to the nature of relations.”
As one of the Youtube comments says “These house vibes are gonna turn rooms into disco floors”. Instantly the Kaytranada-esque sounds and drum grooves pull you in. We’re then greeted and hooked with Bésé’s unique tone and vocal delivery which finds a pocket between the bouncy instrumental. The mysterious video framing and all white, projector-sprawled room adds to the obscure environment and mystery of the whole media piece.
Walk With Me is written by Bésé and produced by Arthur Bastos in collaboration with producer spawnkiss. This video was shot in 2018 at Area51 in Toronto.
