Kalle Mattson is a Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter from Ottawa who brings us the soothing sounds of “Ten Years Time”. What a vocal tone! how memorable and unique. Can’t tell his accent or what type of filter is on it (probably mostly natural) but it really brings character over this simple folk production. The pre-hook progresses nicely too with the chord progressions.
“This song is my first step in my return to my roots both sonically and lyrically. It was inspired by the infamous Sylvia Plath fig tree passage, about feeling stuck in between major periods of your life, feeling paralyzed by choice. Could we do it all again?”
