Rad Cat’s been around for a bit now, amassing millions of streams on his own tracks, as well as plenty of production/remix credits with artists like Enrique Inglesias, Mike Posner, and T-Pain. Lately, he’s been doing a solo thing, showing off his technical mastery with cuts like “How Could I”.
“How Could I” is a glossy and polished electro-pop track. It’s a good snapshot of every major electronic music trend to happen over the course of the 2010s, incorporating EDM, trap, and even a little dubsteppyness. The chorus really smashes, with a pounding four-on-floor drum beat, glitchy synths, and huge vocals performed by Dutch Melrose. The verse provides dynamic balance with a softer trap beat, spotlit vocals, and bits of glimmery atmosphere. It’s a strong track, and well worth a listen.
“How Could I” starts off their 3-track EP called “Love and Illusions” that dropped a month ago. Take in the genre-bending vibes HERE.
