Meet Sam Soto. Coming out of Santa Barbara, he’s still very underground but brings a unique taste to indie rock/pop. He has such a fascinating vocal tone. It feels slightly lazy but also precise, as if they’re bit out of key but are made up for it last second, and the raspy timbre adds an element of passion that you really feel.
Reminiscent of 80s, Dance, and Pop music, Sam Soto shows off his clever hooks and memorable melodies.
“Something fizzin’ in my bones,
bubbling up inside my throat,
you’re my Cherry Coke Soda”
It looks like he’s dropped one single a year since 2018, hopefully he picks up speed as we’d love to hear more. Enjoy the wonky guitar nostalgic below.
